The Shore Run/Walk, one of Seattle’s most family-friendly and scenic events, is back again in its 33rd year! Join Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center for a 5K Run/Walk, 10K Run or Half-Mile Kids' Run on Sunday, June 13. Enjoy the scenic routes along Lake Washington and finish in Madison Park, which features food, music, awards and drawings for prizes—including roundtrip tickets on Continental Airlines! The Center’s Nobel prize-winning work on bone-marrow transplantation provided the first example of the power of the human immune system to cure cancer. Over the past three decades we have dramatically increased our understanding of this therapeutic effect and have led the way in immunotherapy – harnessing the immune system for the treatment of cancers.
