Red Cross sets four times in May to learn earthquake preparation

An American Red Cross speaker will offer training in earthquake preparedness and preparation four times next month - twice on the Day Campus and twice at Met Park.

Open to all faculty and staff, the course will cover the earthquake history of western Washington, tips on planning and preparing for a major earthquake or other disaster, and how to stock a personal survival kit.

Here's the schedule for the four sessions:

• 1-3 p.m. Wednesday, May 2, Met East 927A.
• 10 a.m.-noon Tuesday, May 8, Met East 927A.
• 2:30-4:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 16, Pelton Auditorium.
• 2:30-4:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 30, Pelton Auditorium.
