Associate Program Heads series offers 'New Perspectives in Science'

A new, Center-wide seminar series sponsored by the Associate Program Heads committee opened yesterday with a presentation by Dr. Robert Weinberg, cancer biologist at the Massachusetts Institute of Biology and the Whitehead Institute for Biomedical Research.

The New Perspectives in Science series will feature outstanding cancer researchers from around the world and is intended to stimulate discussion across divisional lines.

Each seminar, at 5:30 p.m. in Pelton Auditorium, will be preceded by a 5 p.m. reception with refreshments in the Double Helix Caf? and is open to all scientific staff. Future seminars in the series:

• Wednesday, May 23, Dr. Paul Nurse, The Incredible Life and Times of Biological Cells.
• Friday, Sept. 14, Dr. Irving Weissman, topic to be announced.
