Try U.S. Census Bureau site for huge variety of data, but be precise with your search term

Brief

February 1, 2001

The U.S. Census Bureau has begun releasing Census 2000 results. It already has released the U.S. resident population and appointment results; additional data will be released throughout the year.

This information is easily accessible via a well-designed web site at http://www.census.gov/ .The site also has historical census and other related information.

One drawback to this web site is an inadequate search tool. However, if you are precise with your search term, you will be more successful in finding the information you need.

In each edition of Center News, the Arnold Digital Library highlights an Internet site that may be of interest or use to Hutch faculty and staff.
