U.S. postage rates will rise 7.7 percent on June 30

The cost of a first-class postage stamp will go up to 37 cents on June 30, an increase of 3 cents.

Priority mail will rise 15 cents to $3.85. Express mail will go up $1.20 to $13.65. Overall, postal rates will increase 7.7 percent.

Additional rate hikes may come in summer of 2003.
