University of Washington researchers discuss environmental issues at 2003 science forum

Hear University of Washington scientists discuss environmental issues at the 2003 UW Science Forum, Exploring Our World: the Scale of Discovery.

On May 6, Mary Lidstrom, professor of engineering and microbiology provides insights into the promising use of bacteria in producing chemicals in an environmentally non-threatening way.

The annual lecture series concludes May 20 with Atmospheric Sciences Professor Dennis Hartmann's latest findings on global warming.

The lectures, presented by The University of Washington Alumni Association, College of Arts & Sciences, College of Engineering, School of Medicine and the Office of Research, take place from 7-8:15 p.m. at 130 Kane Hall on the UW campus in Seattle. Admission is free but you must register in advance at UW alum.com or by calling 206-543-3839.
