Dr. Thomas Gallagher, assistant professor of medicine and medical history and ethics at the University of Washington, will speak about research that provides insights into how physicians and other health-care providers can discuss medical errors with their patients.
Gallagher is the co-author of a paper published in the Feb. 26 issue of the Journal of the American Medical Association, which attracted national news coverage on this topic. The talk will be held 12-1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 23, in Hogness Auditorium, A-420, Magnuson Health Sciences Center at UW. The lecture is open to all faculty, staff and students.
