If you have not completed the center's Internet-based or in-person training on human subjects, come to a training from 9:30 a.m. to noon Monday, Feb. 3, in Pelton Auditorium.
The session will be taught by Tanna MacReynold, office manager for Institutional Review.
The session is in response to an National Institutes of Health regulation that key personnel on grant applications for research that involves human beings complete such training.
Fred Hutchinson policy extends this rule to research that is funded from sources other than NIH grants.
Other upcoming sessions include 9:30 a.m. to noon Monday, April 7, and 9:30 a.m. to noon Monday, June 9, both in Pelton Auditorium.
To RSVP for these sessions, contact Monina Almeda, administrative assistant in Institutional Review, at malexand@fhcrc.org or 206-667-1807. Institutional Review also offers web-based training.
You can access it by visiting http://www.fhcrc.org/admin/iro/iro_home.htm. Make sure to click "Human Subjects Training".
