FMS team repeats as 'May Madness' basketball champs

The second annual Fred Hutchinson "May Madness" basketball tournament ended July 10 with Almost FaMouS repeating as champions.

The winners, mostly members of the FMS project, are (from upper left) Joe Wilson, Cynthia Lysen, Jeff Jager and Don Hoferkamp. Teammates Pete Paznokas and Keith Pace are not picutred. They ended with a record of 4-0.

Almost FaMouS beat the Basic Plus team of Jennifer Blackwood, Brett Kaiser, Shari Kaiser, Miriam Rosenberg, Clint Spiegel and Django Sussman (3-1).

For the consolation bracket championship, Debits and Credits (3-1) beat the Edgar Lab (2-2).

The Administrative Managers' Forum Leadership Team sponsored the tournament and refreshments at the championship game.

Sixteen teams entered the three-on-three tournament, which started in May. All games were played on the Yale Building basketball court.
