Can a little friendly competition can be good for your health? Find out by joining the Fred Hutchinson/Alliance Healthy Challenge 2003.
Corral three others, form a team and register by the Friday, March 7, deadline, and you're on your way. The 12-week contest not only has prizes for the winners but is designed to result in better health for all of its participants.
"All of us have several things we can do to improve our health," said Jonathan Sheppard, benefits and compensation manager. "The purpose of the challenge is to have some fun making those changes and to provide some accountability and encouragement within your team.
"You don't have to be an athlete to join the challenge. What counts is consistency across a broad spectrum of research-supported healthy habits."
