Programmers, statistical associates set organizational meeting April 24

Are you a statistical programmer in the Fred Hutchinson or University of Washington neighborhood? The Seattle Area SAS (Statistical Analysis System) Users Group will hold its organizational meeting from 3 to 5 pm on Thursday, April 24, in 927B Met East.

"There are enough statistical research associates and SAS programmers between the Hutch, the UW and neighboring institutions to support a hearty users group," said Dante diTommaso, statistical research associate with Fred Hutchinson's Statistical Center for HIV/AIDS Research and Prevention (SCHARP).

"A users group is a great way to get beyond the mechanics of the manuals and into the creative side of programming. That's where the fun begins, and you gain the greatest efficiencies."

DeTommaso said door prizes will be available at the organizational meeting.

For more information on the group, contact diTommaso at 206-667-6470 or dante@scharp.org.
