INS adds five countries to list

The Immigration and Naturalization Service has added Bangladesh, Egypt, Indonesia, Jordan and Kuwait to a list of countries whose citizens, nationals or dual nationals must register with the INS.

Male citizens or nationals of these countries who were before Feb. 25, 1987, were inspected and last admitted to the United States as nonimmigrants before Oct. 1, 2002, and did not apply for asylum on or before Jan.16 of this year and who will remain in the United States after March 28 must register with the INS by March 28.
