The University of Washington will sponsor "Challenges and Controversies in Breast Cancer," Thursday Oct. 16 to Saturday, Oct. 18 at Bell Harbor Convention Center in Seattle for breast-cancer specialists. Participants are eligible to receive continuing medical education credit.
The first two days of the conference will be devoted to the latest advances and findings in breast-cancer prevention, diagnosis and treatment. Session topics include:
On the third day, participants may attend "Reducing Cancer Disparities: Meeting the Needs of the Community," also held at Bell Harbor.
For M.D.s, D.O.s or Ph.D.s, the registration fees are $395 for three days, $295 for two days and $115 for Sat. only. For allied-health professionals, fees are $345 for three days, $245 for two days and $95 for Sat. only. Faculty and staff at Fred Hutchinson, UW or the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance may register for Thursday and Friday for $175.
