Center staff members participate in community health symposium April 23 at McCaw Hall

Fred Hutchinson faculty and staff will take part in the Washington Health Foundation's 10th annual symposium, "Communities Striving to Improve Health," from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Friday, April 23, in McCaw Hall at the Seattle Center.

Dr. George Counts, the center's senior advisor on special populations, Dr. Deborah Bowen, investigator in the Public Health Sciences Division and Dr. Patricia Dawson, a breast surgeon at Swedish Medical Center, will serve as panelists for the session entitled "Meeting the Needs of the Community: A Panel of Physicians and Researchers in Conversation about Reducing Disparities." Winona Hollins Hauge, community outreach manager, will moderate the session, which takes place from 10 to 11:30 a.m.
