If you are familiar with searching on Amazon.com or the Seattle Public Library, you will welcome some of the same great features and capabilities now offered from the new Arnold Digital Library catalog.
The new catalog is organized and designed to be intuitive to the user. You now have the power to search the library collection in a variety of ways, print or e-mail a list of your findings, renew that overdue book, and order those articles you can't find-all from the new and improved online catalog.
With the new catalog, you have the option to choose a basic, advanced or guided search. So if you have an ISBN number or the book barcode and little else, you can still find the item. The addition of a search history feature will keep track of your recent searches and provide you with an option to repeat or edit your former search. Another new feature, My List, allows you to create a temporary list of items to print or e-mail. In addition, the new catalog is much faster than the old one.
Enhanced and faster searching isn't the only thing the new catalog has to offer. If you need to renew a book, click on the My Library Account tab located at the top of the catalog. Do you need an article or book that you can't find in the Arnold Library's catalog? Click on the ILL tab to request an item. If you just want to peruse the library's online list of journals, search in PubMed, or explore other databases, click on the Library Resources tab.
