The Interdiscplinary Club will sponsor its first meeting of the year at 11:30 a.m. tomorrow in the Sze conference room. Dr. Kim Robien, a recent doctoral recipient in the Cancer Prevention Research Program, will present "Methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase polymorphic variants are associated with decreased risk of relapse following hematopoietic cell transplant for chronic myelogenous leukemia."
The club and its meetings are open to members of all divisions and disciplines. Meetings feature informal seminars on interdisciplinary research at the center.
The second meeting of the year, to be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 13 in Sze, will inaugurate a new series called "What we know and what we don't about _______," featuring center scientists who will deliver presentations on key research topics. Dr. John Potter, director of the Public Health Sciences Division, will kick off the series with a presentation on colorectal-cancer research.
