UW faculty development seminars

Fred Hutchinson faculty members are invited to the UW Medicine Faculty Development Days series on March 25 and 26 at the UW Urban Horticulture Center.

The first day's program focuses on faculty survival skills that will put participants in a better position to navigate through the UW Medicine promotion system and teach skills for career enhancement.

Sessions on the second day will expand the faculty member's view of their academic career and give them a sampling of the skills necessary to develop leadership skills. Topics will include information on developing a national reputation, managing yourself and your boss, time management and an overview of leadership in UW Medicine. In the afternoon, Ruth Huwe, from the Department of Management and Organization, UW School of Business, will present a workshop on conflict resolution and negotiations.
