May 20, 2004

Have you ever thought of bicycling to work? Tomorrow — WRQ Bike to Work Day — would be a great day to start. The annual event, sponsored by the Cascade Bicycle Club Education Foundation, features 37 commuter stations open from 6 to 9 a.m. throughout King, Pierce and Snohomish counties. Station volunteers will encourage you on as you pedal your way to work and provide free water bottles, snacks, maps, discount bike store offers and other giveaways.

Stop by Fred Hutchinson's station in the traffic circle in front of the PHS building to receive free water, fruit and a chance to win prizes including bike tune-ups, T-shirts and water bottles.

For more information about Bike to Work Day, visit the Cascade Bicycle Club's Web site at http://www.cascade.org/Education/btw/index.cfm or contact Don Fisher, transportation coordinator, at djfisher@fhcrc.org.
