The community partner breakfast series kicks off from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m., Monday, Dec 6 at the PHS building with a presentation by Dr. Marilyn Gaston on health care access and disparities followed by roundtable discussions on health-care issues of interest to diverse populations.
Former assistant surgeon general, internationally known for her studies on sickle-cell disease, Gaston is a member of the National Medical Association and the Institute of Medicine of the National Academy of Sciences. She is also co-founder of the Gaston-Porter Health Improvement Center.
