Brief
A supportive audience of 540 people helped raise more than $150,000 to support patient-family housing at the annual Pete Gross House Luncheon Oct. 5 at Qwest Stadium. All proceeds support the Family Assistance Fund at Pete Gross House, which provides housing for out-of-town patients. The apartment complex is named after broadcaster Pete Gross, the longtime "Voice of the Seahawks," who died of cancer in 1992.
Sponsors for the luncheon included the Christopher Harper Trust, Costco Wholesale, Turner Construction, Seattle Seahawks, Newsradio 710 KIRO, Greenbaum Home Furnishings, Bellevue Oldsmobile Cadillac, Navigant and Marriott. NFL hall-of-famer Gale Sayers was the guest speaker and KIRO News anchor Steve Raible was master of ceremonies.
