Pilot funds available for ovarian-cancer research; application deadline is Dec. 1

Brief

Approximately $150,000 is available from the Marsha Rivkin Center for Ovarian Cancer Research to fund up to five awards for ovarian-cancer research through two award programs.

The Pilot Study Program will support investigator-initiated pilot projects in the areas of screening and prevention, basic science, treatment, and behavioral sciences. The Scientific Scholar Award is intended to assist promising scientists and doctors to develop a career in ovarian cancer research. The deadline for submitting applications is Dec. 1, 2004.
