Devaney is new director of Grant and Contract Administration

Brief

The Grant and Contract Administration department announced the promotion of Ken Devaney to the position of director. Devaney had been serving as acting director since Kim Moreland left for Madison, Wis., last August.

Devaney began his career in the Clinical Research Division in 1987 and then worked as a grants specialist in Grant and Contract Administration. In 1991, he became administrative director of the Benaroya Research Institute at Virginia Mason. He returned to the center in 2001.

Devaney brings strong technical and organizational skills to his new position, and has already implemented many improvements and initiatives since assuming the role of acting director.
