Members of Fred Hutchinson's Toastmasters club, "Communicating for a Cure," received their official charter from Toastmasters International on March 23 at the center. In addition to the local membership, the charter presentation was attended and supported by Myra Tanita, chief operating officer; Han Nachtrieb, Human Resources; and Lawrie Robertson, PHS administrator.

The mission of a Toastmasters club is to provide a mutually supportive and positive learning environment in which every member has the opportunity to develop communication and leadership skills, which in turn foster self-confidence and personal growth.
