Brief
The Hutchinson Center's new marketing materials and communications efforts have received international recognition. The Center recently won four 2005 MarCom Creative Awards, which recognize outstanding achievement by marketing and communication practitioners.
The Center's new fund-raising brochures, video and Web site design — elements of the branding and marketing efforts launched earlier this year — all received honors, along with a high-profile media-outreach project.
Kristen Woodward, media relations manager, received a platinum award for her announcement of Dr. Mark Roth's hibernation-on-demand discovery. Gordon Todd, publications manager, accepted a gold award on behalf of the team that created the new fund-raising brochures. Linda Gainer, vice president, and Kit Herrod, external relations director, received a gold award for a new Center video. Laura Haroldson, Internet services manager, accepted an honorable mention award on behalf of the team that redesigned the Center's Web site.
More than 4,600 MarCom entries were submitted from across the United States and several foreign countries. Entries are judged by industry professionals who look for companies and individuals whose work serves as a benchmark for the industry. MarCom is part of The Communicators Awards, one of the largest and most respected competitions in the communications field.
