See 'Shwaas', India's entry for Oscar 2005, Feb. 18 in PHS

The center will host a free public showing of 'Shwaas' — a film based on a real life incident of well-known cancer Surgeon Dr. Shailesh Puntambekar. The screening will be from 11:30 to 2 p.m., Friday, Feb. 18 in PHS, Room M1-A305/307.

The 107-minute film, which is India's entry for the 2005 Academy Awards, is in the Marathi language with English subtitles. The screening is a brown-bag event with light refreshments. A panel discussion will follow with Dr. Geetha Rani, Basic Sciences research associate and Dr. Ajay Gopal, Alliance attending physician, as well as two producers from the film.
