Why I chose to commute this way: "It's economical, stress-free and I am able to get a great workout during the times most folks are sitting in their cars in traffic. My commute is somewhere around 15 miles — it's hard to say exactly since part of it is on the ferry. It takes about 1.5 hours each way. It sounds painful, but the ferry ride is nice and the bicycle portion goes very quickly — even in pouring rain."
