Brief
The Hutchinson Center will host a conference to highlight current developments related to Bioconductor, a worldwide open-source and open-development software project for the analysis and comprehension of genomic data. The conference will take place Aug. 16-17 in the Arnold Building, M1-A303/305/307.
The meeting will provide a forum in which to discuss the use and design of software for analyzing biological data with a focus on Bioconductor and genomic data.
Speakers include:
The conference will also include hands-on session for use of software for analyzing different types of biological data and questions, including microarray preprocessing and quality control, differential gene expression, linear models, graphs and networks, flow cytometry, and machine learning.
Attendees should bring a wireless-equipped laptop computer for use in the labs. All software and lab materials will be available on-line. Attendees are invited to present a poster in the Tuesday evening poster session. Abstracts should be provided with registration application.
