Brief
Funds are available from the Pacific Northwest Prostate Cancer Specialized Program of Research Excellence (SPORE) to support pilot project on prostate-cancer research.
Priority for funding will be given to proposals for studies that are multidisciplinary, likely to lead to submission of grant applications for independently funded investigations and have translational potential (a probability of leading to new methods to prevent, diagnose or treat prostate cancer). New applications will be given higher priority than submissions for continuation of ongoing projects. Priority will also go to projects with budgets of $50,000 or less. Young investigators and investigators new to the field of prostate cancer are encouraged to apply. Application is limited to faculty who are eligible to apply for NIH R01 grants.
Those eligible to apply include all investigators at the Hutchinson Center, University of Washington, University of British Columbia, Institute for Systems Biology, Oregon Health and Science University and others affiliated with the Program in Prostate Cancer Research or the Pacific Northwest Prostate Cancer SPORE.
