Name:
Bruce Cervene

Job Title/Department:
Maintenance supervisor/Facilities Engineering

Commutes from:
Marysville

Alternative commuting choice:
Bus (CT and Metro)

Period of time:
Approximately nine years. Before I moved to Marysville, I used to take a CT bus from Edmond to Seattle and then catch a Metro bus.

Why I chose to commute this way:
"I do not like to drive — too much traffic congestion. Also, if driving alone, I think that the time would be longer by car. I prefer to settle back in the bus and read the newspaper or sleep. It is much more expensive to drive, especially with gas prices at all-time highs. My insurance rates are lower since I take the bus. Most of the time I can find a decent seat, but there are times when the buses are overcrowded. The air conditioning is great on the CT buses in the summer when temperatures hit 80 to 90 degrees Fahrenheit."
