SCCA sponsors yearlong KING 5 'Cancer Free Washington' series

The Seattle Cancer Care Alliance (SCCA) is the title sponsor of a yearlong KING 5 TV multi-media campaign entitled "Cancer Free Washington."

The campaign — which began in March with a focus on colorectal cancer — is designed to educate the general public about the importance of cancer prevention and early detection.

Three remaining one-hour specials, hosted by Jean Enersen, feature the following topics:

• Skin cancer, June
• Prostate cancer, Sept.
• Breast cancer, Oct.

Specific dates, times and stations for the upcoming skin-cancer special are as follows:

• June 27, 8 p.m., KING 5
• July 10, 9 p.m., KONG
• To be determined, NWCN

As a program sponsor, SCCA will run a series of 30-second TV commercials during each of the "Cancer Free Washington" specials and close to Jean Enersen's weekly Healthlink segments. Healthlinks airs during the Wednesday evening newscast. The spots are designed to build public awareness and preference for the SCCA.
