Cancer, aging program offers transplantation workshop

Drs. Paul Martin and Debra Friedman of the Hutchinson Center's Clinical Research Division, along with other national and international cancer experts, will present seminars at the 2005 Transplantation and Aging Workshop on Wednesday, Nov. 9, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., in Pelton Auditorium.

The workshop, sponsored by the Seattle Cancer and Aging Program, will address transplantation issues in older populations, including the effects of high-dose cytotoxic therapy, cellular senescence, irradiation, DNA damage and free radicals, and the development of secondary malignancies.
