Brief
After 19 years as administrator for the Center's Public Health Sciences Division, Lawrie Robertson is leaving Nov. 30 to become director of Finance and Administration at the University of Washington's School of Public Health and Community Medicine. Dr. John Potter, division director, has appointed Rosemarie Keenan to serve as interim division administrator beginning Dec. 1. Between now and then, Robertson and Keenan will work to ensure a smooth transition of duties.
Potter said that Robertson's new position would involve continued collaboration with the Center, particularly PHS faculty and staff. "Please join me in thanking Lawrie for his many contributions to the Division and Center," Potter said. "Lawrie has been so strongly committed to the Center and so much a part of PHS for a long time, that it will mean a lot of changes. On the bright side, Lawrie will just be working the other side of the street and will still be available to consult. It will also mean that our smooth functioning relationship with the School of Public Health and Community Medicine at the UW will continue without a ripple as Lawrie takes on his new and challenging position."
