Center, SCCA co-sponsor CME breast-cancer course Oct. 20-22

The University of Washington School of Medicine will offer a continuing medical education (CME) course entitled "Challenges and Controversies in Breast Cancer," Thursday, Oct. 20, through Saturday, Oct. 22, at the Bell Harbor Conference Center on Pier 66. An additional half-day symposium on Saturday is entitled "Working Together to Address the Unequal Burden of Cancer."

The CME course is designed for medical, surgical and radiation oncologists, breast-cancer imagers and pathologists as well as ancillary health care professionals involved in breast-cancer care. The symposium targets health professionals, community advocates and others concerned about cancer control and reaching underserved populations in the state of Washington. The Hutchinson Center and Seattle Cancer Care Alliance are co-sponsors of the conference.
