Faculty searches are now under way
Faculty positions are open in three of the four scientific divisions. Updates on each faculty search will appear in future issues of Center News.
Basic Sciences Division
Basic scientist
An opening is available for a junior faculty member (assistant member). An outstanding candidate is sought who is taking imaginative approaches to study any area of biology. Search committee chair: Dr. Cecilia Moens
Clinical Research Division
Biostatistician
An assistant member/assistant professor position is available for a biostatistician to provide collaborative statistical support for the clinical research activities of the division and the affiliated Cancer Consortium with the University of Washington. Independent research in statistical methodology is strongly encouraged. Requires doctorate in statistics or biostatistics and excellent communications skills. A joint appointment is possible with the Hutchinson Center's Public Health Sciences Division and/or an affiliate faculty appointment in the Department of Biostatistics at the University of Washington. Breast cancer physician/scientist
A position (any level) is available for a physician/scientist with an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. with active laboratory research and clinical expertise in a breast cancer-related discipline. Candidates with translational research interests and a desire to join a strong cross-disciplinary research team in breast cancer are encouraged. The primary appointment will be in the Clinical Research Division of the Hutchinson Center. If desired, a joint appointment may be made to other divisions at the Center and to the full-time faculty in an appropriate department at the University of Washington. Solid tumor pediatric physician/scientist
A position (any level) in the Clinical Research Division and the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Washington is available for a pediatric oncology physician/scientist. A successful candidate will have demonstrated productivity in the biology of childhood solid tumors and is expected to enhance research activities in pediatric oncology at the Hutchinson Center and at Children's Hospital and Regional Medical Center. Laboratory space will be provided in the Center's Clinical Research Division. Search committee chair: Dr. Irv Bernstein
Public Health Sciences Division
