The Occupational Health Nurses will begin flu-shot clinics for Seattle Cancer Care Alliance (SCCA) employees this week. For the 2005-06 influenza season, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends that only certain priority groups receive the inactivated influenza vaccine prior to Oct. 24, 2005. Health-care personnel who provide direct patient care are one of these target groups. Beginning Tuesday, Oct. 25, all Center employees will be eligible for vaccination.
