Benefits open enrollment begins May 5

Brief

April 20, 2006

Enrollment for benefits opens May 5. Don't miss the opportunity to make changes to your benefit elections and/or to enroll in flexible-spending accounts for the upcoming benefits-plan year (July 2006-June 2007).

Flexible-spending accounts

Now is the time to research your estimated medical/dental and child-care costs for the upcoming plan year if you want to set aside pre-tax funds for these expenses. Look for detailed information — including news about plan changes and options — to arrive at your mail stop on May 3.

Benefits fairs

May 8, 2-5 p.m., Seattle Cancer Care Alliance, Room 1006-1008
May 9, 10 a.m.-3 p.m., Arnold Building, M1A303-307

Come to the annual benefit fair with questions for our plan representatives or Human Resources Department staff. The fair will also provide help with online enrollment, light refreshments and the chance to win door prizes.

Look for an e-mail message on May 5 containing a link to the enrollment site. As in the past, there is nothing to do if you are not changing or participating in the flexible-spending account option.

Flexible-spending accounts do require annual re-enrollment, regardless of past or current status. To learn more about flexible-spending accounts, visit centernet.fhcrc.org/CN/depts/hr/ben/flexible_spending.
