Bike to Work Day
If you've ever considered bicycling to work, gear up for Bike to Work Day on May 19. End your ride at the commute station located in the middle of the Arnold Building traffic circle. Transportation Department staff members will help refill your energy tanks with coffee and pastries provided by Eastlake's Grand Central Bakery, along with fruit and water. The Cascade Bicycle Club Education Foundation sponsors the annual Bike to Work Day. For additional information, contact Don Fisher, Center transportation coordinator, or visit http://www.cascade.org.

Challenge yourself to commute by bicycle to work. The Group Health Cooperative invites companies to form teams of bike riders who agree to commute to work at least five times (round trip) during May.

To join a team, send an e-mail to Don Fisher, djfisher@fhcrc.org. He will match up riders and coordinate teams of four to 10 riders.

In addition to improving health and reducing reliance on cars, participants have a chance to win bicycle tune-ups, gear and gift certificates provided by the Cascade Bicycle Club.
