Brief

August 17, 2006

The Center and The Jackson Laboratory of Bar Harbor, Maine, will co-sponsor the "Fifth Annual Workshop on the Pathology of Mouse Models for Human Disease," Sept. 10-16 at the Center. The workshop is designed to assist pathologists and pathology residents in making the transition from human or animal diagnostic work to characterizing mouse models for human disease.

The workshop will feature talks from prominent mouse pathologists and geneticists, including several Center researchers. Dr. Robert Hackman, director of pathology, is one of the workshop organizers. Registration is limited to those with prior training in pathology. There will be room for a small number of individual-lecture auditors who make arrangements with Bob Hackman, at rhackman@seattlecca.org or (206) 288-1353, by Sept. 1.

To view the schedule of events, visit the workshop Web site at www.jax.org/courses/events/coursedetails.do?id=232&detail=scope.
