The Center and The Jackson Laboratory of Bar Harbor, Maine, will co-sponsor the "Fifth Annual Workshop on the Pathology of Mouse Models for Human Disease," Sept. 10-16 in the Weintraub Building, B1-072/074/076. The workshop is designed to assist pathologists and pathology residents in making the transition from human or animal diagnostic work to characterizing mouse models for human disease.
The workshop will feature talks from prominent mouse pathologists and geneticists, including several Center researchers. Dr. Robert Hackman, director of pathology, is one of the workshop organizers. Session topics will include the following:
There also will be hands-on laboratory sessions in mouse necropsy and laser-capture dissection. Registration is limited to those with prior training in pathology.
