The National Institute of Health's National Cancer Institute announces an opportunity for women to further their research careers. The Sallie Rosen Kaplan Fellowship for Women Scientists in Cancer Research Award honors the memory of a woman who held an abiding interest in education and in expanding opportunities for other women. Awarded annually by the NCI since 2003, the fellowship comes from a generous bequest to the Foundation for NIH (FNIH). The competitive program is designed for postdoctoral fellows applying to train in basic, clinical, epidemiological or prevention science. Applicants are required to apply online; the deadline is Dec. 15. For more information, visit http://generalemployment.nci.nih.gov.
