Send applications (two to five pages in length) to Kathy Fawthrop at kathyfaw@u.washington.edu by March 27. The applications should describe the work that these funds might support, any preliminary data, the absence of other means to fund this work, the relation of this work to the integration of cancer and aging, and the likelihood that this small investment may lead to preliminary data that could support a future application for more substantial funding. The application should also include the participation of both a cancer and aging investigator or an expert in both areas, and the request should not exceed $40,000. Please attach a detailed budget and biosketches. Successful applications must go through institutional sign-off before funds can be released.
