Three faculty positions are open in the Public Health Sciences Division.
- Computational biologist
A position is available for an assistant or associate faculty member in the Computational Biology program, with collaborative opportunities throughout the Hutchinson Center. Candidates should have a strong research record using computational methods to investigate biological mechanisms and demonstrated interest in a significant biological problem. An affiliate appointment in an appropriate department at the University of Washington is possible. Search committee chair: Dr. Robert Gentleman
- Lab scientist
Applications are invited for an assistant or associate faculty level position as a laboratory-based scientist with commitment to and experience in ovarian-cancer translational research as part of the Molecular Diagnostics Program. The position has collaborative opportunities for methods development and the application of genomics, proteomics and informatics to disease etiology, risk assessment, molecular epidemiology, early cancer detection, molecular classification and disease monitoring. An affiliate appointment in an appropriate department at the University of Washington is possible. Search committee chair: Dr. Nicole Urban
- Nutritional interventionist
An assistant/associate faculty member position is available for candidates with a M.D. or Ph.D. interested in experimental approaches to the study of diet and nutrition and cancer prevention in humans. The successful candidate will be expected to develop an independent research program, including the use of controlled feeding studies. A joint appointment in the Department of Epidemiology/Interdisciplinary Graduate Program in Nutritional Sciences at the University of Washington is possible. Search committee chair is Dr. Johanna Lampe.
