Brief
Gather your colleagues and form teams now for United Way's 15th annual Day of Caring, which takes place Friday, Sept. 15. Day of Caring is a communitywide event where volunteers tackle more than 300 service-oriented projects — all in a single day.
Starting Aug. 4, teams can sign up for their choice of projects including painting, yard work, food service and clothing drives.
Staff and faculty are encouraged to participate in Day of Caring as a way to give back to the Seattle community. The Center provides regular pay (a paid day) for those who participate. However, workloads and schedules vary greatly, so please check with your supervisor and work group before signing up.
For more information about the program or to volunteer, contact Tess Hurley, Day of Caring team coordinator, at thurley@fhcrc.org or (206) 667-6970.
