Brief

June 1, 2006

The 29th annual Shore Run/Walk takes place on Sunday, June 25, and volunteers are needed for fun jobs at event locations in Madison, Leschi and Seward Parks.

Volunteers can root on the runners as course marshals, serve water on the run, staff the "Party-in-the-Park" following the race or help to pass out T-shirts. Jobs start between 6:30 a.m. and 8 a.m. and are complete by 11 a.m.

The Shore Run/Walk is a 6.7-mile run from Seward Park and a 5K run and walk from Leschi Park to Madison Park. A 1K kids run will also take place in Madison Park. Proceeds from the race fund the Center's Early Detection Initiative. For details and job descriptions, contact Lisa Carlson at ljcarlso@fhcrc.org.
