Brief
United Way's 15th annual Day of Caring takes place Friday, Sept. 15.
Day of Caring is a communitywide volunteer event, tackling more than 300 projects — including painting, yardwork, food service and clothing drives — all in a single day. Starting Aug. 4, volunteers can form teams and sign up for their choice of projects.
Staff and faculty are encouraged to participate in Day of Caring as a way to give back to the Seattle community. The Center provides regular pay (a paid day) for those who participate. However, workloads and schedules vary greatly, so please check with your supervisor and work group before signing up.
For more information about the program or to volunteer, contact Tess Hurley, Day of Caring team coordinator, at thurley@fhcrc.org or (206) 667-6970.
