Center News
Starting Feb. 2, the Diversity Council will sponsor ongoing opportunities to take part in the Center's Village Voice, a monthly brown-bag series running through June in Pelton Auditorium. The one-hour video presentations followed by a half-hour facilitated discussion (for those who can stay) will provide a venue to learn more about diversity and issues that affect our culture. The sessions will run noon-1:30 p.m.
The first three months will consist of viewing and discussing a three-part documentary entitled "Race: The Power of an Illusion." The first episode, "The Difference Between Us," explores how recent scientific discoveries have toppled the concept of biological race.
Village Voice presentations will continue March 2, April 6, May 11 and June 1. For more information, contact Dr. Karen Peterson at kpeterso@fhcrc.org.
