A new online version of Center News — Center News Weekly — debuted Jan. 2 on the intranet home page, www.fhcrc.org/intranet. Published every Monday morning, the online weekly will provide up-to-date news about recent findings, scientific seminars, meetings, HR deadlines and other timely information.
The monthly print edition of Center News is published on the first Thursday of every month. It will provide more focus on research advances, scientist profiles and in-depth examinations of issues.
Center News Weekly online is the first step toward revamping our intranet for easier use. Look for more features in mid-2007, including daily announcements; Center calendars; easier access to forms and tools; interactivity; and enhanced design.
"As the Center grows, we continue to look for the best ways to share important information quickly. Center News Weekly allows us to communicate more efficiently and at less cost,"said Linda Gainer, vice president of External Affairs and Communications. "It will provide easy access to news more frequently."
