Apply by Sept. 1 for prostate-cancer research SPORE pilot-study funds

Center News

July 2007

Funds are available from the Pacific Northwest Prostate Cancer Specialized Program of Research Excellence (SPORE) to support pilot projects on prostate-cancer research.

Priority for funding will be given to proposals for studies that are multidisciplinary, likely to lead to submission of grant applications for independently funded investigations and have translational potential (a probability of leading to new methods to prevent, diagnose or treat prostate cancer). Investigators early in their careers and investigators new to the field of prostate cancer are encouraged to apply.

For application instructions, visit the Pacific Northwest Prostate Cancer SPORE Web site at www.fhcrc.org/phs/prostate_spore. Applications must reach the Pacific Northwest Prostate Cancer SPORE office by Sept. 1. Contact Margery Kiso, SPORE administrative coordinator, at (206) 667-2716 or mkiso@fhcrc.org.
