June 2007

Dr. David Mankoff, a radiologist in nuclear medicine at the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance and University of Washington, will chair the American College of Radiology Imaging Network's new Experimental Imaging Committee.

The network is a cooperative research group funded by the National Cancer Institute. The new committee will do early studies of advanced cancer-imaging approaches, find new uses for existing diagnostic equipment and investigate new or untested equipment.

"Dr. Mankoff brings extraordinary talent and experience to the area of advanced-imaging techniques applied to cancer research," said Dr. Connie Lehman, director of radiology at the SCCA. "We are very fortunate to have him on our team, and we're delighted that he has been recognized with this honor and leadership position."
