A nonprofit vaccine consortium is holding a daylong vaccine process-development meeting Wednesday, June 20, 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. in Pelton Auditorium.
The purpose of the Puget Sound Vaccine Conference is to foster collaboration between the various groups in the area, to learn more about different ongoing projects and to discuss the challenges all face in moving products from a research environment, through development, manufacturing and clinical testing.
Keynote speaker Dr. Philip Gomez, director of vaccine production at the National Institutes of Health's Dale and Betty Bumpers Vaccine Research Center, will discuss "Moving from Bench to Clinic: Strategies for the Acceleration of Vaccine Development."
